The Non-Abiding Top

This spinning top, held aloft by an invisible magnetic field, serves as a metaphor for how we are constantly guided by forces we cannot actually see, as the earth itself is a vast magnetic field.

The levitated spinning top, a familiar object from childhood, becomes a metaphor for the journey of self-discovery. It captures that perpetual human tension between venturing outward—a necessary process of separation to explore the world—and the centripetal pull back to our core.

Drawing from the Buddhist philosophy of 'abiding nowhere,' the installation suggests that we are permanently suspended in this constant motion, finding our alignment by being balanced in the moment. Each rotation marks the opening of a new space-time.

Matrix of Excitations

This installation imagines the universe as an invisible field of energy. Magnetically levitated cubes hover within a grid, making visible the hidden forces that connect matter, consciousness, and the world around us.

Inspired by the original meaning of the word “matrix” as a place of origin or womb, the grid becomes a space of possibility—where perceptions and realities emerge.

The matrix becomes a field of possibilities, where multiple realities coexist and unfold through our choices, attention, and participation.

Idea Sketch

The Eternal Roll

This artwork captures a moment of suspended probability within a crystal-clear epoxy resin block. Transparent acrylic dice are arranged in a precise three-dimensional grid, each die evenly spaced and floating in perfect alignment.

While the overall structure embodies geometric order and control, the visible faces of every die display completely randomized numbers—evoking the unpredictable nature of chance. Light refracts and caustics dance through the transparent material, transforming the piece into a luminous meditation on the tension between structure and randomness, fate and certainty.

Voyager Golden Record

Ⅰ. Printmaking: The Trace of Medium

Inspired by the Voyager Golden Record, this series begins with copper—a material shared by both the history of printmaking and humanity’s message to the cosmos. As a printmaking plate, copper carries and multiplies images; as a record, it carries sound across space and time.

Ⅱ. Sound Installation: The Intrinsic Frequency

When connected to vibration speakers, the copper plates resonate and become audible. Image, material, and sound merge into a single field of transmission. Through these vibrations, the work explores resonance as a connective force—one that links matter and consciousness, the personal and the cosmic, the visible and the unseen.
