Life and death, departing and arriving is the fate that each of us cannot escape. For me, impermanence is the constant normality, and the permanent present is the moment of being changing.

In this series, the fireworks in lost focus are used as a metaphor of the fragility of life in the passing times. Inspired by the negative in film photography, I brought this technique into contemporary use. The boxes in reversed color are like X-rays which imply that decay is alway with us since the moment we were born.

Death is not the opposite side of life but final destination where all of us are heading to. On this way, we rise and fall, cluster and separate, suffer and relieve, go through sorrow and joy.

Every human being is a floating fragment in the infinite universe. Experiencing a life of moving from cities to cities, I am endlessly searching for a place where I physically and psychologically belong. Like the dazzling sparks in the sky, it is an unregrettable journey which I have embarked on.

The power of fire erupts, bursting into its unique form. This series of decay is being observed in blurriness like we are watching a grand show with tearful eyes.
